NOTES
Bell stage of tooth development is seen around the 14th week of intrauterine life. It is called so because the dental (enamel) organ has the shape of a bell. All the layers of dental organ are visible in this stage i.e., internal dental epithelium, stratum intermedium, stellate reticulum and outer dental epithelium. In addition the tooth germ has dental papilla and dental follicle. A cervical loop is seen at the point where outer and inner dental epithelia meet. |
